Mr. Talaat graduated with a Bsc. in Civil Engineering from Cairo University and received his MBA from the Swiss Business School.

In 1996 he joined Black and Decker, as Kuwait and Qatar Area Sales Manager. In 2001 he joined Lafarge group as Commercial Director for Alexandria Portland Cement Company.

In July 2004 he joined Cementia Trading AG, Zurich, Switzerland, the international trading arm of Lafarge, as Regional Manager for Middle East, East Africa and Indian Ocean regions.

Since July 2009 he has been the Chief Commercial Officer of the Company, leading and developing the sales, marketing, distribution, transportation and trading functions and setting the division’s strategy. While leading the introduction and penetration of the Company cement in the Egyptian market, he is contributing in achieving the Company’s business and financial objectives.

Mr. Salib graduated from the American University in Cairo with Bsc. of Computer Science and later received his MBA at the American University in Cairo.

Mr. Salib has 19 years of diverse work experience. Upon joining the Company, Mr. Salib assumed the role of chief information officer. Prior to joining the Company, he ran his own company for eight years providing consultancy services in the field of information technology. He also worked for USAID in water and wastewater infrastructure projects for four years.

Since joining the Company Mr. Salib has been able to significantly increase the efficiency of the entire reporting system, leveraging on his information technology background that played a key role in the development and implementation of the reporting program SAP. He is also continuously seeking to further optimise the reporting system.

Mr. Alcantarilla, is the Chief Operation Officer of the Company. He graduated from the Superior Industrial Engineering School in the University of Seville (Spain). He spent some time sharing his studies and final project with works in different departments of the Engineering School, where he published articles related to energy generation with biomass in international magazines.

In 2002, he started his career in the cement industry and, since then, has participated practically in all fields of the business’ technical side. After more than five years as Plant Manager in Spain, he moved to Egypt in 2009 to form part of the Company’s Management.

Mr. Alcantarilla currently oversees the entire production process (both the Company’s shadow production team and RHI and NLS’ respective teams). The Company’s strengthening performance since the start of cement commercialisation is a direct reflection of his passion for optimisation and operational excellence.

Mr. El Ashmawi acquired his Bsc. from the faculty of Medicine & Surgery, Cairo University in 1994. He complimented this with a Masters Degree in Paediatrics in 2001 from the same university. Mr. El Ashmawi obtained an MBA from Beaumont Institute of Management, Washington State University, majoring in strategic human resources management in 2006. Mr. El Ashmawi enjoys 16 years of experience in the human resources management field including 5 years as HR Director in different organisations.

Mr. El Ashmawi has been the Chief Human Resources Officer since joining the Company in April 2012. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. El Ashmawi was with ABB working as HR Manager for Egypt and sub regional central Africa.

Mr. El Koshairy graduated from Richmond, the American International University in London, in 1990. He is a Certified Public Accountant from California State Board of Accountants, Los Angeles, USA.

Mr. El Koshairy is a highly experienced financial management professional and Certified Public Accountant, with a proven record of success in directing financial operations of companies of EGP2 billion in revenues. Mr. El Koshairy joined the Company in March 2008 as the Chief Financial Officer, and assumed this position till June 2012. Currently, Mr. El Koshairy holds the position of Chief Legal Officer & Head of Aggregates of the Company.

Before joining the Company, Mr. El Koshairy started his career as an auditor with top financial advisory firms, after which he further enhanced his experience by moving to the industry side, where he took managerial financial positions in oil and gas, pharmaceutical and cement companies. He was budgeting manager for Cemex (Egypt) and British Gas.

Mr. El Koshairy is a seasoned professional who attended and was invited as a guest speaker in CFO forums in the Middle East.

Mr. El Hakim previously served the Company’s Chief Operations Officer, joining the Company after over 30 years experience in the cement industry in Egypt gained during his tenure at ASEC Engineering.
